Everyone loves food! Some of us are brilliant cooks, some really enjoy cooking, and then there are those food lovers who are still pretty amateur in the kitchen. However, for the latter half there is some great news. These days as cooking progresses and develops through online websites, cooking channels and programs, books, and even iphone apps, cooking is getting much easier and user friendly. All the resources are there, so it’s just a matter of exploring them.

As the world becomes ever more digitalised, digital user interfaces are getting ever simpler and user friendly. This includes cooking, and as with most digital developments, it’s merely not about the technology anymore but about the content and how it is used. Digital cooking guides are fast becoming your kitchen buddies, cooking with you rather than telling you what to do. TV shows cook in real time with you, showing you how to cook a 30minute meal in a 30minute show, without skipping steps or pulling out an example they made earlier. The cooking has become real and more accessible. For those with iPhones or iPads, you can download a variety of cooking apps that make cooking a much easier and pleasant experience, guiding you through simple and easy to follow steps. You can search recipes, automatically generate shopping lists for the respective recipes, search recipes based on what ingredients you already have in your kitchen, access a wealth of videos with tips and examples, some gorgeous food photography, plus a whole lot more.
